Description
With fresh pinks, peach and greys the colours complement one another in this piece of art. It has a fresh summery feel, a modern minimalist abstract with Charcoal scribbles and dashes of white splashes, the whole piece fits together perfectly.
(Artist note)
I sit reminiscing of my child hood, the smell of summer in the air, fresh cut grass, and the sound of children playing in the street, the little sweet shop at the top of the road, were I would as a teenager become baby sitter to the shop owners daughter.
The rows of candy on the shelves, the penny sweets on the counter, and I am reminded of my love for candy as a child.
Family gatherings on a Sunday, and helping my Mum in the kitchen make jellies and trifles with summer fruits. I can still smell the sweetness; still feel the jelly as I push it through my teeth and back, a spread of salad, and meats, cakes and deserts on the table as we wait for the family to arrive.
Life was good as a child.
